What Can I Expect at My Appointment?

Consultations are required prior to treatment, and are free of charge. During your consultation, an initial medical evaluation will be conducted.  A comprehensive facial evaluation will be performed.  Your areas of concern will be discussed thoroughly.  Your questions will be answered, and a treatment plan will be developed.  If you decide to proceed with treatment, you can be injected during your first consultation.  Your skin will be cleaned and marked with an erasable marker.  The chosen product will be injected into the treatment area(s) using a very small needle.  This only takes a few minutes, and most people only report very mild discomfort or no discomfort.  After your treatment, you may be instructed to avoid exercise for the rest of the day.  You can usually go back to your normal skin care routine.  Side effects are rare, but can include headache, redness at the injection site, or injection site bruising.

You will start to notice decreased movement in the treatment area(s) in about 4 days.  Full treatment results will be apparent in about 2 weeks.  To maintain your results, you should be retreated in 3-5 months when you start to notice return of movement to the treatment area(s).

Am I a Candidate for Botox Treatments?

Healthy women and men 21 years or older are typically candidates for treatment.  Your specific health history will be reviewed during your consultation to determine if this treatment is right for you.  This treatment is a great option for individuals with prominent wrinkles as well as individuals who do not yet have wrinkles.  Botox can be used to help prevent the formation of wrinkles.
